The one thing I will say is that my local range has Charter Arms guns as their only available revolvers to rent, and they haven't fallen apart after months of hard use. Now, this wouldn't be my first revolver, as I have a S&W Model 60-7 that I still love, but as I'm sure you know, once you get one gun your next thought turns towards getting another! I like the sound of their Police Undercover - a six-shot snubnose in stainless steel - but I don't want to shell out for a gun that's just going to end up going back to the factory for repairs.ĭo any of you guys have experiences - good or bad - with Charter Arms revolvers? I will say that I intend to shoot it and not just leave it as a seldom-used backup. I realize that the company has had a bit of a shaky history until the 2000s and that some of the negativity stems from lousier quality control from their earlier era. Almost every gun shop in my area seems to have a least one or two. However, I've heard both good and bad stories about the guns. I know that every gun manufacturer has a few bad ones get through the line, but the number of bad reviews for Charter revolvers was somewhat surprising - especially since they seem fairly popular. ![]() ![]() ![]() For a while now I've been off-and-on considering getting a Charter Arms revolver.
